INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Opihi College has agreed to observe and be bound by the Code of Practice for the Pastoral Care of International Students published by the Minister of Education.

Location and Facilities
Opihi College is 10 minutes from Timaru City. A stimulating and safe environment with modern facilities and spacious park like grounds. A peaceful and clean place to live and learn away from the temptations and frustration of the large cities.
Programme Features
We have a sound record of academic success both nationally and internationally. Our well respected ESOL programmes prepare students for IELTS, TOEFL and NCEA English qualifications. We also offer a 10 week Intensive English Course each term. Our small classes ensure students receive individual assistance. Communication is maintained through regular written reports on student progress and by visits to meet directly with parents in their own country.
Accommodation for International Students (HOMESTAY)
Students are met at Christchurch International Airport on their arrival in New Zealand and taken to their host family in Temuka.
Our International Student Manager will arrange suitable HOMESTAY accommodation. We offer the student HIGH QUALITY accommodation with a family in TEMUKA. We have families in TEMUKA keen to host students from overseas.
Opihi College will monitor the homestay arrangement while the student is studying at the school. The well-being of the student, both physically and emotionally, is of utmost importance to Opihi College.
The International Student Manager will meet with the student on a regular basis to discuss any homestay concerns or difficulties the student may have.
