English Teacher (Maternity)

Our Y7–13 coeducational college is seeking a vibrant educator who wants to deliver innovative learning programmes which allow individuals to achieve their personal best.

We are looking for a teacher of English who is willing to challenge the status quo, is passionate about learning and embraces technology and culturally responsive pedagogies to deliver effective teaching. This is a full-time, fixed-term maternity cover role commencing the start of Term 1 2022 and ending at the end of year 2023.

Applicants must be NZ certificated teachers. A commitment to our PB4L ethos is mandatory. The successful applicant will also be encouraged to be involved in our extensive co-curricular programmes.

English Teacher or HoF of Humanities

Opihi College are looking for a certificated and registered teacher who is capable of teaching up to NCEA Level 3 English. The role of HoF of Humanities maybe available to a candidate with suitable experience and knowledge.

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2022, End Date: 27/01/2023

Science Teacher

Full time, Fixed term, Start Date: 28/01/2022, End Date: 27/01/2023 (This position is of a fixed term nature due to covering for release time provided to beginning teachers in 2022. )

We are a small, collegial secondary school, situated in South Canterbury – this means small classes and weekend access to the beautiful lakes and mountains of the Mackenzie Country. Being just 20 minutes north of Timaru leaves you the choice of rural or urban living.
