Music and Performing Arts

Toi Puoro a Toi Whakaari

From participating in local events to showcasing your talents in our vibrant community, our music and performing arts program opens doors to a spectrum of opportunities, ensuring that your passion for the arts is not just learned in the classroom but experienced firsthand. Join us on exciting field trips where you'll witness live performances and engage with industry professionals.

Let’s start a band, explore the Music of Aotearoa; have The Big Sing! and look at Musicians who changed the world. During performing arts, you may like to look Behind the scenes; at Prequels and Sequels and From Broadway to the big screen! Make me a star! Here's a showcase of what Opihi students can do.

You'll continue your musical journey through itinerant music lessons, public and in-school performances and becoming musically literate. You'll also investigate two contrasting works of music and be participating in solo and group performances.
